Materials and Construction for Toughness
Superior Canoes uses multiple layers of Dupont Kevlar 49 fabric to give the boat incredible strength as it encounters rocks and excessive ground contact.

Using a combination of S-glass, layers of Kevlar and vinyl ester resin gives the boat great resistance to cracking, abrasion and outside impact. (Fact: Kevlar is used for ropes in space as well as for vests used by the military). The deck and rim are molded into one piece, and then the hull and deck are bonded together with three layers of Kevlar.

Floatation
To ensure the boat floats if capsized, floatation material is placed in the ends of the boat, giving you the assurance that the boat will be with you to finish the trip.

Rudder and Foot Pedals
The rudder and foot pedals enable paddlers to paddle upstream and go against high winds on the open seas with much greater ease.

Bucket Seat
The seat is made for comfort. The seat is installed in a kevlar hanger at a height of 4" or 6", depending on your comfort and water conditions.
